Well, lovelies – Fall is among us, whether or not the calendar wants to admit it. Last night, I froze my bunny off. I barricaded myself under three heavy blankets and I even had to wear socks to bed. (I hate wearing socks to bed because I always kick one off and wake up wearing only one.) Outside it was 38 degrees. Thirty-eight. So, with an early cold front moving into these parts, I thought about our autumn and winter brides. Wouldn’t it be nice to stay a little warm on your wedding day? I got married in December in the state of Michigan, home to some of the coldest, most unpredictable winters. It can literally be four seasons in one day – but it’s usually winter. ;) I know what it’s like as a bride to plan for unpredictable weather… and, I’m fairly certain you don’t want to freeze your you-know-what off while taking pictures on your wedding day. Instead of adding layers which will cover up that gorgeous gown of yours, what about a pretty pair of bridal gloves instead? These bridal gloves – a round-up of a few modern + vintage finds – will add a dramatic flair to your bridal day look. But we want to know: is this a trend you think is pretty – or a pass? P.S. The first image is my favorite – it’s an entire lot of vintage gloves! It would be a fun idea to wear a pair and pass on the others to your bridesmaids!

I love brides in short little dainty gloves! I would absolutely do this if I were to have the occasion!

I like them on other people but for me…pass
Hi Rhian,
We love your honesty! I’d agree they’re only right on brides if you feel good in them. I’m not sure I could pull off the look – or at least feel comfortable in them – but I, too, love them on other brides. Thanks for your message.

I’m lovin’ the gloves, especially for fall. I love number eight, personally :)

I’m glad you like the gloves! Number eight is pretty… I think it is paired perfectly with her dress.

P R E T T Y!!!! I love them! They remind me of Hollywood Glamour in the 40’s, Jackie O in the 60″s, and royalty all throughout history – #5 is my fave picture!
Madeline,
I love the image in #5… the ‘Love’ on her wrist? Beautiful. Thanks for stopping by!

Other than #4 I love them. My favorite style is #1!

I love gloves especially the ones in photo 10.
Hi Kitty,
Number 10 actually inspired the post! I’m glad it’s your favorite. I love the vintage details on that pair.

Pretty! I really like the dainty styles that fall right at the thinnest part of the wrist. But I’m not the biggest fan of the mid-arm lengths–I’d pass on those, personally.
Hi Taryn,
The dainty styles you mentioned are my favorite, too! I feel like I’d be too warm with mid-arm lengths, but that might not be such a bad thing in the winter of course. Thanks for sharing your comment!
