Braided Hairstyles / Wedding Hairstyle Round-Up
Posted August 3, 2011 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 30 Comments - Leave a Comment!
Here’s a wedding trend we’re following – and loving – at the moment: braided hairstyles! Last week, we shared with you a beautiful fishtail braid (with a fishtail braid video tutorial) and we received some lovely feedback from you, our readers. So, we’ve decided to up the ante a bit. Instead of one braided style, how about twenty braided hairstyles? We had SO much fun pulling this post together. I admittedly tried out a few (or seven?) hairstyles myself now that my hair is long enough. Trying to braid again after years was weird at first, but then it all came back to me just like riding a bike. :) I’m happy braids are making their way into the wedding world – I love their simple, chic sophistication – but I’m not convinced they ever truly went out of style. I think braids are always stylish!
We’d love to hear your thoughts on the braided hairstyles so please view the round-up below and comment with your favorite #. And… if you decide to try out a style (or, twelve) please do send us the images as we’d love to feature them in an upcoming post as part of our series. (Please send them to us here – we can’t wait to see your cute coifs!) We hope you enjoy our round-up featuring twenty of our favorite braided hairstyles fit for the bride!
And… a round-up of hairstyles isn’t complete without at least one DIY idea! We love this DIY Boho Tutorial from The Beauty Department:

Lovelies – don’t forget to comment below with your favorite # – and be sure to send us your photos!
Happy Planning!

Thanks for the comments everyone! We’re glad you liked the round-up. :) I (Emma here!) recently grew my hair out, but I always had it short in past years… I’m happy to finally try some of these styles in my hair! If you try them at home, send us the photos – we’d love to do a follow up post.

Hi Cait!
Try searching on You Tube under “how to do a ribbon braid”. There are so many tutorials to choose from, so you can select which fits best for you. Once you get the ribbon braiding part down, I think you’d be able to apply it to the look in number fourteen.
Hope it helps!
