At Emmaline Bride, you know we love handmade wedding ideas. One way to tie in a personal touch to your wedding is with a handmade wedding veil. Today, we’re sharing three gorgeous handmade bridal veils by Louise of TruLu Couture (Featured Artisan in The Marketplace). If you haven’t stopped by to see her work, you must! Louise’s unique handmade veils, hair pieces, and accessories are beyond beautiful for the bride-to-be! We hand-picked three of our favorite veils to highlight their heirloom quality, but be sure to check out the shop for more samples including fabulous dress sashes you must see!
First, we present The Seraphine birdcage veil. I think this style is especially perfect for the vintage bride. It is made with dark ivory tulle with a velvet floral applique and antique-silver beading.
Second, The Gidget Veil is ideal for a retro-loving bride. I love the handcrafted bow, constructed from ivory fabric, which adds an eclectic touch. The veil is elegant, adorned with tiny ivory pearls. It can be worn forward as a birdcage veil or backwards.
Last but not least, The Emma Veil is handcrafted with double-tiered ivory tulle and lace. The lace is vintage (20+ years, as a matter of fact!) with pearls and iridescent sequins. This veil offers a low poof for the wow-factor without overdoing it. It sits at the length of your shoulders.

1! Love the drama and the birdcage shape!
Laura, Isn’t Louise’s work amazing? That is a beautiful choice!
The top one is lovely!
Thanks, Kirsten! Glad you liked it. My favorite is the third, and not because it’s named ‘Emma’ — haha. I love the lace!
