Cake Topper Alternative – Edible Sugar Roses

I met with my friend for her first dress fitting recently. While discussing cake toppers with her mother, I overheard her saying she does not want a traditional bride and groom cake topper on their wedding cake. Instead, she wanted something simple and lovely – like blue hydrangeas. I think it’s a great idea! Remember, it’s your wedding, so each detail is up to you. Don’t leave it up to how most people plan it – or you’ll end up with a cookie cutter wedding. It’s the personal, handmade touches that make your wedding day memorable. So, skip the bride and groom cake topper if you want to – there are so many cake topper alternative ideas from which to choose! Today, we’ll focus on one alternative – edible sugar roses. If you’re concerned your tiered cake will look a bit boring without anything on top, take a cue from Andie’s Specialty Sweets and dress it up with these incredible (+ edible!) sugar roses. This edible sugar rose is chock full of charm, handmade detail, and, yes, yummy sugar. Just look at how gorgeous each hand-molded petal is…

LOVELY! This is a perfect cake topper alternative to the traditional bride and groom. Great work (as usual), Andie!
