I have a bit of a vintage tea cup / cake stand obsession and I like to add to my collection on a regular basis. When I spotted these adorable vintage cake plates by High Tea for Alice I added them to my last-minute Christmas wish list immediately. There’s still time to add them to yours! ;) After looking at these, I want to throw a tea party!
After admiring these, I want to throw a tea party. These hand-picked treats would make for a pretty party…

If I was planning a spring wedding or bridal shower in 2011, I think a garden party theme would be lovely. Sunshine, willow trees, wildflower bouquets, tons of decorative touches (bunting, garland, a pretty backdrop, diy doily charger) and these cake stands as lovely centerpieces. Pick your favorites (the more mis-matched the better!) and add tons of colorful treats like macarons, whoopie pies, lemon squares, cupcakes…. YUM!
So, lovelies…
What would you add to the tea party?
love,

LOVE the yellow stand :) I helped throw a bridal shower for a dear friend at a local tea room. It was perfectly girlie and so much fun! This post brings me back to that day *le sigh*

I love these little tea party pretties! The only thing I would add would be a tea pot of Lady Grey tea and my best girlfriends.

Thanks, Kimberlee! I think a pot of Lady Grey tea and your best girlfriends sounds like a great tea party. :) Happy weekend!
