We especially love when artists make keepsake-quality items you can use long after the wedding is over. For instance, this wedding card box suitcase over at PNZ Designs can be used to hold cards from guests, guest book notes, or pop open the suitcase and use it as a creative escort card display. The front is embellished with your monogram, etched in wood and stained to perfection. Love, love, love.

DIY Ring for a Kiss Cowbell

When it comes to getting the bride and groom to kiss, nothing is more adorable (and thematically fitting for a rustic, western themed wedding) than the ring for a kiss cowbell. When we spotted it and saw just how easy it was to DIY, we couldn’t wait to share it with you. If you are a bride who prefers a cowbell to clanking of wine glasses, you’re in luck with this feature! Read on to see what you need to make the must-have wedding decor for summer + fall rustic weddings (and how it’s made in under 5 minutes). Enjoy!

Here’s the inspiration…

DIY Ring for a Kiss Cowbell

diy ring for a kiss cowbell

Here’s the how-to!

You’ll Need…

o cowbell, the kind with a handle (I have this one and it does the job)
o burlap twine (something like this)
o scissors
o oil paint marker in white (you’ll want something like this that writes on metal)

How-To
This could honestly not be any easier.

1. Use paint pen to write “Ring for a Kiss” on both sides of cowbell.
2. Cut a piece of twine with scissors, long enough to create a loop for hanging.
3. Knot twine; tie in a bow. Hang from a hook at your wedding.

Guests ring it; you kiss. So sweet + easy + fun + creative + something you can hang up in your backyard after the wedding. What do you think of this cowbell idea? Will you be using it for your own wedding?

31 Giveaways: #7 – Thumbprint Tree Guest Book

If you’re looking for a guest book that is handmade, interactive, and will last forever in your home, look no further! We love this thumbprint tree guest book by The Ink Lab, spotted at a recent Real Wedding shown below (photos by the lovely Diana Daley). What we love most about this thumbprint guest book tree is how colorful it is: the couple chose to use multiple shades of ink for the thumbprints. (P.S. If you’re using ‘em, don’t forget these and a wastebasket.) It turned out beautifully! We’ve teamed up with the guest book tree’s designer, Heather, to offer a FREE thumbprint tree guest book to YOU, one of our lucky Emmaline Bride readers. Will it be you? Toss your name in the hat for a chance to win! (It’s #7 in our awesome 31 Wedding Giveaways series all August long!)
