If you love pink and want to tie it into your wedding (without it looking like a pink explosion), you’re in luck! Today, we’re sharing with you how to plan a blush pink wedding to suit your wedding style without looking like a five year old’s birthday party. Blush pink is softer than other pink shades and when you incorporate neutrals (such as gold, grey, ivory, or black) the palette will really pop. Read on to find out three ultimate tips for planning your wedding with this pretty pink PLUS check out a few handmade wedding accessories to inspire you.
Blush Pink Wedding
1. Be subtle and use sparingly.
The key to a perfect blush pink wedding is subtlety. Even though your primary shade is blush, be sure to use it sparingly throughout the decor to highlight the shade rather than overwhelm the palette. Decor is a great starting point, as shown below in this Real Wedding example:
This bride uses subtle detailing like tags, napkins, and place cards to tie in blush pink without overwhelming the decor. Plus, rather than using blush pink as the starting point, she opted for grey dresses with blush pink bouquets to complement the shade:
Incorporating the groomsmen doesn’t mean they have to don ties and vests in pink. Instead, tie in the shade with a boutonniere with a little blush:
2. Pair with a neutral tone.
As noted above, a neutral shade like grey, gold, ivory, or black will offset the pink and make it POP. The wedding cake is no exception… check out this gorgeous blush pink and gold cake:
3. Include a few handmade accessories!
We love the new blush pink wedding collection recently unveiled by Emici Bridal, featured artisan in The Marketplace! If you love the shade, you’re in luck: the lovely Marie of Emici Bridal has included a little bit of everything in this collection from dress sashes, ring pillows, hair accessories, bouquets, and more.
