Sweet Little Macarons

Move over, cupcake! (Ok, we still love you.) Meet the macaron, a sweet meringue-based treat made of egg whites, almond flour, and granulated + confectionery sugar. The French macaron is filled with cream or butter like a sandwich cookie, and can be found in a wider variety of flavors  (chocolate, vanilla, etc.)  to more exotic (truffle and specialty).  Plus, they can be made in a variety of different colors and sizes. We are in love with these sweet little treats!

They are an irresistible treat and are perfect for weddings and bridal showers.  Try placing in decorative clear jars, as part of a dessert buffet, on vintage cake stands, or at place settings in decorative clear bags as favors. Simple and sweet.

Wow..these look so delicatable.. I do like the lollipop version — really adorable. I guess at a wedding you would just wrap them up or put them in
favors boxes, so they don’t get ruined.

Thank you so much for being one of the few people on this planet that actually credit their source in their blog for images.
    All the best
