HAPPY FRIDAY, lovelies! I guess today is about a good as time as ever to let you all in on a little secret obsession of mine: tea cups. I’m not quite sure where it began, but I think it had something to do with an engagement photo shoot I spotted a year ago that spurned my interest. Since then, my love has grown into a full-blown obsession and I’m hooked. The more mis-matched and vintage, the better. I dream of super-awesomely-remodeled shabby-chic kitchen someday where my lovely teacups and saucers can not only be displayed as part of the whimsical decor but enjoyed by house guests. Ah, tea gets a pinch sweeter with fab teacups and good friends. That’s for sure.

Speaking of which… I went to a dear friend’s wedding a few weeks ago, and the lovely bride happens to be a pretty big fan of tea. To my delight, the favors were tea cups and saucers! The kicker?  Each set was totally unique, and EVERY PERSON (not couple) was sent home with their very own.  One guest at our table never arrived and I was asked to please keep theirs since they had tons of leftovers.  Would I mind? It pretty much made my night. Well, that, my ridiculously handsome husband, seeing two of my best friends get married (!), Oberon on tap (oh, YES), my sexy new little black dress, a ton of Lady Gaga, and, yes, a piece of delicious carrot cake. Game, set, match.

So, in honor of Ann & Pat, the newlyweds, and their love for tea and all things amazing (your wedding seriously rocked the house), I present to you some of the most amazing handcrafted ‘tea’ finds out there.   There’s some pretty amazing talent out there, and I sort of went a little nuts, so enjoy! xoxo

#1 is probably my favorite. First the teacups are yellow (my favorite always!) and then the two sweet little blue birdies painted on the side!! LOVE! #4 would have to be a close second…I love the mix of colors and patterns. So chic!
