It seems everything is being wrapped up in a jar these days. But, just when we thought we had absolutely seen it all, we spot a new idea that takes us by surprise. Check out this unique wedding bubbles in a jar DIY which incorporates both handmade and vintage details right down to the unique skeleton keys. Your flower girls will have so much fun blowing bubbles as the new Mr. and Mrs. process back down the aisle (and afterward at the reception). Heck, leave out a few extras for guests, too – you’re never too old to get a kick out of bubble jars. We spotted this bubble jar via this real wedding (photographed by Lisa Lefkowitz) which inspired the idea, to which we added our own handmade finds to personalize it a bit. So… without further adieu, take a peek at the visuals + supplies needed to make this brilliant bubble jar a reality for your wedding:

You’ll obviously need mason jars, jelly jars, or canning jars…

Add colorful twine (spotted via londontierney to wrap around the top of the mason jar.

You’ll need a flower adornment to add a punch of color! We LOVE these by Jennifer Locke Designs

Of course, you’ll need skeleton keys as bubble wands, so we hand-selected a few favorites to get you started. If you use skeleton keys with a heart shape (below), the result will be heart-shaped bubbles – extra cute. one / two / three

Finally, we wouldn’t be your handmade wedding resource without telling you how to make homemade bubbles! Just add 1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid (Dawn or Joy), 2 cups of water and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Mix the solution and add to jars. Easy! For extra fun, add food coloring to the mix for more brilliant bubbles. (Imagine hot pink, blue, yellow… so much fun!)

Love the idea but as a mom with two boys this is asking for a huge mess LOL. I think this would be so much better for adults :)
