DIY bread loaf place cards are a unique, easy-to-do idea. Invite guests to have a seat and enjoy a scrumptious serving of bread before dinner is officially served. Be sure to have plenty of olive oil and butter ready! This beautifully styled wedding via Joy Thigpen (photography: Jose Villa) illustrates the look:

It’s easy to do-it-yourself. Gather the following supplies…

    1. Write guest name onto kraft tag using the white calligraphy marker pen.
    2. String bakers twine through the kraft tag.
    3. Wrap twine and tag a few times around the loaf of bread, securing it with a knot or bow. Make sure tag is easily visible from the top.
    4. Place loaf at each place setting. Enjoy!

Love, love, love. Use your favorite tried-and-true artisan breads from a local bakery in a variety of flavors – mmmmmm. :)

    Happy Planning!

I love this idea!! I’ve seen it before! You have the bread as the place card and you then serve cheeses on a board and guests can munch on them!

Any time you can incorporate good food into your table decor {and have it double as a place card}, it provides such a fun and creative feeling. Great post!

This is adorable and so clever. Place cards combined into something for the guest to eat is brilliant.
