Subscription boxes are all the buzz right now, but the concept of a subscription box isn’t new. (I mean, we all remember the old Jelly of the Month club quote from Christmas Vacation, right?) Well, it’s not just for jelly anymore. I’ve seen subscription boxes for beauty, makeup, fitness, wedding, food, drink… even subscription boxes for your pet. A subscription box is a gift that keeps giving, whether sent for the holidays, to your wedding party as a thank you gift, or to yourself for a little surprise at your doorstep. To help you navigate between the boxes available, we’ve combed through our favorites to bring you a little bit of everything. I haven’t personally tried all of these myself, but I do find each of them to be a good value and gift idea. So, grab a (ginormous) cup of coffee and read on to explore some of the best subscription boxes out there. And, if you’re a bride-to-be, pay special attention to one of the subscription boxes below… there’s one specially designed for you up for grabs! Enjoy!
I first heard of Mistobox when I saw them on Shark Tank. This is a coffee subscription box which promises to send the freshest, most flavorful brews straight to your doorstep. This is one subscription box that is towards the top of my own wish list, since coffee and I are like BFFs.
3. The Bride Box
The Bride Box is one I have tried! I received their October box to my door and it had some really fun wedding goodies inside. A freshly-baked cookie, photo booth props, a ‘Bride’ drink koozy, a set of thank you cards with envelopes, and a chalkboard banner. I could see this being a must-have on every bride-to-be’s wish list. Each month’s delivery is a secret — and unique each time.
Pssst. Enter to win this box at the bottom of the post!
Birchbox is all about beauty samples. If you crave eyeshadow, gloss, mascara, and other makeup faves in a sample form, this may be the subscription box for you.
I’ve never tried Julep, but I’m eager to! This subscription box service is for people who love nail polish. With a coupon code I just spotted, you can give it a one-month free trial to see if you like it (which is essentially a $19.99 gift for free). I know, amazing. I’ll be taking a closer look at this one for sure. CODE: Use code FREEBOX (not sure when it expires) at checkout – just pay shipping.
6. Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club
7. Dollar Shave Club
I was so intrigued by Dollar Shave Club that I just had to try it myself. It’s designed for men, but I wanted to see the quality of the razors first-hand. These are surprisingly nice for the price and you sometimes get a free sample (like shave butter). This is a great gift for your groom-to-be. Shipping is cheap, too.
8. Stitch Fix
This is an online personal styling service for women. Stitch Fix asks you a few questions on your style and sends you a monthly box with a few hand-picked clothing pieces for your style. It also includes tips on how to wear the pieces.
9. Unmentionably Cheeky
And, last but not least… there’s an underwear of the month club! Unmentionably Cheeky is a husband and wife team that delivers cute (affordable) underwear to your doorstep. Based on customer reviews, these are true to size, too. CODE: Use code FALL13 to get 2 for $6.00 and free shipping to U.S.
