Happy Friday! Today, we’re talking about wedding buns… and, no, not the fitness kind (though we’ll be covering that in a fitness post coming up soon). Today, we’re talking about how to create a hair bun for your wedding. We recently talked about how to get more volume in your hair, how to perfect a braided hairstyle and how to do a side chignon, and today we’re honing in on the hair bun which was once only synonymous with a messy, unkempt hair style. Today, though, hair buns are in… and, they’re more popular than you may think. Read on to see how you can incorporate a hair bun into your wedding – and beyond – with terrific inspiration from around the web.

Up first, Love Maegan shows us how to combine a braid (love!) and a bun in one fabulous hairstyle. Now that my hair is finally long enough, I’ll have to give this one a try over the weekend.

Next, Running on Happiness shows you how to make a top knot look easy, peasy. And, might I add, her hair is quite fabulous.

This next image shows us how to pull off the elegant hair bun for your wedding with a glamorous twist…

This next image was spotted at the beautiful blog A Beautiful Mess which shows us how to style a messy bun, whether you wear it low or to this side. This is a must-see tutorial!

Laura Johnson of Three Pink Dots shows you how to put a sock on it by sharing her easy-to-DIY sock bun… a must-have tutorial for every girl. I plan to create my own over the weekend! Take a peek…

Up next is a bun that has been perfected by Lituianian model, Beegee. This shoot was part of a post spotted here from the lovely Vanessa Jackman. Her post about MiH Jeans featured this amazing bun… and we love its simplistic, elegant style.

This top knot by the lovely Joanna Goddard of A Cup of Jo demonstrates how you can add a small flower to accentuate your top knot (or bun) with brilliance.

Oh, Keiko Lynn, we’re not sure how you do it but your hair tutorials are simply the best. Here is one of our favorites featuring a messy bun you’ll want to replicate. Immediately.
