Wedding Lawn Games: Cornhole

I was speaking with a friend the other day and she filled me in on a few details for her upcoming 2012 wedding. She already has the entire day pictured in her mind, which includes, “peonies… an outdoor wedding underneath a tent with tons of lanterns… cocktail hour with long island iced teas and punch…” and, my personal favorite, “lawn games for guests prior to the reception“. What fun! If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, lawn games are a welcome addition for your guests. Today we are going to highlight one of our favorite wedding lawn games: cornhole! Have you ever played? Cornhole is a game where you toss bean bags at a board on the opposite side aiming at the hole on the top portion of the board. You also get points if the bean bag lands on the board. It is more or less an updated version of horseshoes (and, in my opinion, a bit easier). We spotted one couple’s custom cornhole game featuring silhouettes of the bride and groom:

Don’t forget colorful bean bags, tied with lace!
