Love at the School House Engagement

Are you ready to be schooled in the ways of love? Let’s begin today’s tutorial by learning about this fun and creative school house engagement shoot. Our engaged couple Alex and Robin have quite the cute story on how they met and ended up posing in an Iowa school house for their engagement session. The talented photographer team of Rodney and Jodi Gehman from The Gehmans captured and recreated this couple’s past romantic chemistry adding a lot of old school history into what is known as the “School House Engagement”.

Their photographers tells us, “Alex and Robin are a wonderful young couple full of life and laughs and energy. They first met in grade school, and by the time they were in fifth grade in small town Iowa, they had a major crush on each other. But, like most fifth grade relationships, someone has to step up and take charge. Sometimes its a friend who has to be a go-between, and pass notes for you, and do the talking for you, but in this case… Neither Alex nor Robin did anything. Neither one made a move!

Fast forward to two years after their high school graduation, and they reconnected, fell in love and the rest is history! We really wanted to find an old school house for their engagement session, and it so happened we didn’t have to look very far at all. Just a few blocks from Alex and Robin’s house sits a reconstructed school house that is now a history museum, complete with desks, props and chalk boards!”
