Oklahoma City Wedding: Lacy + Shaun Do DIY

Posted January 10, 2013 | 9 Comments

Get ready to be inspired! Lacy and Shaun’s Oklahoma City Real Wedding included tons of DIY ideas such as a temporary ‘tattoo parlour’, a custom Twitter hashtag sign, rustic table setting details (like burlap runners and birch bark centerpieces), and heart shaped sparklers for a romantic sendoff! Their color palette featured a pretty pop of purple included in the bride’s gorgeous heels, the bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen socks, chair sashes, and more! Read on to see more from this Oklahoma City Real Wedding, captured by Matt of Matt Martin Photography. Enjoy!

The sparklers are great, I’d like to see more of them. Wonder where they got them? Love the mixed purple bridesmaids dresses.

Hi ladies! Thanks for the complements on our wedding! I just googled “heart shaped sparklers” and there were several sites that were selling them. I didn’t order them until two weeks before the wedding so I picked the company that could deliver them the quickest. :) hope that helps!

That ring box is such a lovely little thing. Simple items can be so beautiful

Hi Lacy. Can you tell me where you got the box for the rings? I want to make a similar one but am not finding a shallow box like the one you had.

Hi! So I got the box from Hobby Lobby. It was in the wood working section, and I just stained it to make it darker. Then I used a white paint pen to write on it with. It was super easy! Hope this helps!
