Need inspiration for your engagement session? Then we think you’ll love this artsy engagement session with Tracy and Colin! Smiling and laughing just seemed too easy for this cute couple as they were captured by their engagement photographer Carolyn from Carolyn Scott Photography.
Carolyn tell us, “Tracy and Colin wanted an outdoor, fieldy vibe to their engagement session but still have it involve art and a variety of backgrounds. They’re getting married downtown next summer at the North Carolina Museum of Art, so they wanted a session that tied into their impending nuptials, but have a more outdoorsy feel than downtown would. Tracy and Colin are a SUPER fun-loving couple who like to go out with friends and spend time with each other, and we’re stoked about their wedding next June!”

Fun, fun, fun! Jonathan and Lindsey’s wedding was exactly that, fun! Their wedding planning led them to one of the coolest places in Raleigh, the Marbles Kids Museum. Their Marbles Kids Museum Wedding is something unique and creative. The museum’s colorful themes and cool atmosphere made for some incredible wedding photos. We can only imagine how much fun their wedding guests had that night and how they’ll always remember Jonathan and Lindsey’s wedding. Their wedding day excitement was captured by photographer Carolyn from Carolyn Scott Photography.

We’re loving Liz and Chris’s rustic North Carolina engagement shoot. For their engagement shoot we travel to the small town of Cameron, NC which once was known as the “Dewberry Capital of the World” where Liz’s parents own a horse farm. The farm proved to be the ideal place for taking engagement photos with all of it’s rustic charm and natural elements. Their North Carolina engagement photographer Carolyn from Carolyn Scott Photography tells us,

From study partners to wedded bliss, Cortney and James’ southern fall wedding is sweet. Surrounded by fall foliage, this November 13th Raleigh wedding was held at the grandiose 1705 Prime venue. This elegant North Carolina wedding was masterfully photographed by Carolyn from Carolyn Scott Photography. Thank you Carolyn!
Carolyn tells us,
“Cortney and James were a wonderful couple that I had the joy of photographing on a beautiful fall day in the south! They met during chiropractic school and shortly after the wedding opened their own chiropractic office in Durham. They couldn’t be sweeter and the day was filled with gorgeous details. Cortney’s dad bought her the awesome shoes and the flower in her hair was from her mother’s wedding hat.”

Today we’re featuring a beautiful and fun wedding by Carolyn from Carolyn Scott Photography based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Carolyn tells us,
“Dottie and Jon were an absolutely fabulous couple. They wanted a small, intimate ceremony and reception with a close 30 or so family and friends. Peace Church was chosen for its simple yet elegant charm. It’s a very small church but has a lot of natural light and a big, open feel about it.
Their ceremony was lit by candles and the remaining ambient light so it would be more romantic. Since the wedding was so intimate, Dottie & Jon had a lot of leeway in terms of schedules and times, so they were every photographer’s dream. :) We got to spend a lot of time alone after everyone left to head to the reception and take romantic and fun shots. I was able to pose them, then they would do or say something adorable to one another and start laughing…which made the photographs so cute and natural looking. They were a joy to work with!
The reception was a formal dinner at 1705 Prime and then several hours of cocktail conversation and dancing in a lounge-type room. It was perfect for a modern and small reception. The family and friends had so much fun that it was contagious!”
Enjoy the fun!
