Hello, loves! Happy Tuesday! Today we’re talking about one of our favorite hot new 2013 wedding trends: pleats! A pleat (also known as a plait) is a double or multiple fold, typically in garments. There are various of pleat styles used (like accordion, box, and knife) and pleats were originally used to provide movement of freedom in clothing. Wedding Gown with Ruffles

Hold on to your veils, lovelies – this is one awe-inspiring gown! We have featured a few of Claire LeFaye‘s gorgeous gowns in the past, but the floor length version of “Pocket Full of Posies” is our new favorite from her collection. This wedding gown with ruffles is a silk chiffon dream with a drapey, fabulously flattering fit. It features a soft silk chiffon corset with two layers of romantic ruffles at the top right bust. Hand-sewn roses (the posies, if you will) cascade in an arc from the top left to the bottom of the right side waist and is my absolute favorite detail. I’m not sure you’d want to take this gown off at the end of the night… it looks fabulous AND comfortable to wear, too. But, enough about the details… you’ve gotta see it for yourself!
