Elkridge Club Wedding: Rig + Danielle

Rig and Danielle’s Elkridge Club wedding in Baltimore was magnificent! Their wedding has a classic feeling and elegant theme. Dennis Drenner Photographs captured their wedding and all of its personal, intimate moments. Read on to find out more and enjoy the photos…

Elkridge Club Wedding

Dennis tells us, “Rig and Danielle are an interesting match and a great example of opposites attracting. She is a real Montana cowgirl, while he is the scion of an old Baltimore family, but they get along like crabs and Old Bay seasoning! (in case you’re not from the Mid-Atlantic, that means they get along great!)”

“The ceremony was held on a beautiful Fall day at the Church of the Redeemer in Baltimore. Afterwards, we got outside for some quick portraits in the last light of the day. Just as I began to do Rig and Danielle’s portraits, a blaze of amber light burst from behind the clouds, sending me into an excited (and productive) photo-frenzy.”

“Afterwards we all headed to the reception, held at the Elkridge Club. A former fox hunting club once in the outskirts of old Baltimore, the Elkridge Club is now very much inside of the city — but still surrounded by beautiful grounds and now a golf course. Guests enjoyed cocktails overlooking the 9th hole as the sun sunk beneath the horizon and the band starting tuning up their instruments.”

“Much merriment ensued, beautiful cowgirls danced with dapper young lawyers, the bride and groom were both well-roasted in some hilarious wedding speeches, and the guitarist played at amazing speed with the guitar held behind his head. All in all, a night to remember for all!”

Tulle Wedding Veils

We’ve talked about wedding veils and alternatives many times, but when it comes right down to it I am enamored with tulle wedding veils. They’re the most classic veil style and the most elegant (in my opinion). And, unlike many other styles, tulle wedding veils can be worn with any hairstyle you choose from updos to hair down styles. I popped into one of our favorite wedding veil shops, Melinda Rose Design, and I’ve been oohing and aahing over her collection of veils all morning. Here, take a look: this top veil is my favorite.

31 Wedding Hairstyles: Day 28 – Elegant Side Ponytail

One of my favorite looks that can be dressed up or down is an elegant side ponytail. Worn beautifully by this brunette bride, the side ponytail sweeps hair away from your face and can be accessorized with a beautiful brooch or hair pin. I love the side part on this style, too.

31 Wedding Hairstyles: Day 23 – Sleek Updo

Hi, loves! Emma here. Can I tell you a secret? I’m loving these wedding hairstyles, but I am secretly having trouble coming up with unique, totally-captures-the-look names for these styles. I mean, seriously, how many times can you say something is a pulled back updo and make it sound unique? Ah, well. Updos are pretty similar, you have to admit, but today’s sleek updo is one of our favorites for a traditional wedding. I love the way the bride’s hair is pulled away from her face, highlighting those earrings and that neckline! Oh, and that dress! It’s gorgeous. Take a look…

Old Hollywood Glamour Wedding

Jessica tells us, “The shoot took place on Sunday, July 29, at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. My initial inspiration for the shoot was old Hollywood glamour. I wanted the models to look chic, sophisticated, and elegant as the old Hollywood stars – but in a fun atmosphere. I came up with the idea of the circus theme when my little one turned one this past spring (and we celebrated his birthday with a circus theme smash cake photo session). I was immediately reminded of the movie Water for Elephants. My set designer, Sara Barr, was amazing: she made all the circus props for our Cirque de L’Amour. I was especially impressed with the knife throwing board she made. With Ling, our hair stylist, and Sherry, our Make-up Artist, the look I envisioned came to life. We had an amazing time with this shoot and I’m looking forward to doing many more with this amazing team.”

1. Marcelle

We begin the showcase with Jesse’s own personal favorite from the collection. Marcelle is a vintage-inspired tulle bandeau with a floral beaded trim, crystals, and a silk chiffon flower embellished with Swarovski crystals.

2. Bridgette

Bridgette is my hand-picked favorite: it is elegant with a modern feel and features crystals and pearls atop an embroidered headband. Love.

3. Adele

The Adele has double beaded roses atop a metal headband with a silver embroidered trim. The center of each rose features a Swarovski crystal, perfect for a little sparkle down the aisle.

Chock-full of old hollywood glamour and charm, the Dorothee is a lace and leaf trim headband with crystals to create a stunning floret. Gorgeous!
