Garter with Names – Weddings

Why We Love It So: This Sweety wedding garter is completely made by hand and offers a rustic, natural look. Our favorite part is the custom name stamping along the ribbon, which makes it extra special.

Why You’ll Love It So: This garter will stun while you’re snapping those getting ready photos to the very end of your reception. It will be comfortable to wear, too, as it is mounted entirely on a natural linen ribbon. There are custom details all over this piece, including ivory pearls on the inside of the garter paired with Swarovski crystals and seed beads. The stunning flower you see in the photos below is made of ivory silk fabric and ivory silk organza fabric with a vintage small velvet leaf, Guinea feather, and a small piece of ribbon in a peach color. The ribbon color can be customized, too.

14 Monogram Gift Ideas That Will Make the Best Day Ever

** Giveaway inside!

Hi, loves! Emma here. One reason why we’re so in love with handmade weddings is because they’re so detail-obsessed. Each detail in a handcrafted wedding is lovingly pieced together, whether created by your own two hands or lovingly made by a professional artisan. The outcome is a more beautiful and personalized wedding day from start to finish.

One of the easiest ways to add a personal touch to your decor is by using your monogram. Your monogram is your own personal stamp, which can be used throughout including bridal accessories, wedding invitations, favors, decorations, and more. You can use a three-letter monogram (with your initials and first letter of your last name combined together, like mine — EAA) or your last initial (mine — A), whichever you prefer.

Today we’re sharing a handful of our favorite monogram wedding ideas to make your wedding stand out. We’ve found cake toppers, custom cufflinks, decor pieces, and jewelry, with a little something for everyone. There’s even a monogram cowgirl hat for rustic brides! Plus, we’ve teamed up with Advantage Bridal to give away one personalized bridal gift to a lucky reader as our latest wedding giveaways. Find out what it is below!

Ask Emmaline: Where to Measure for a Garter

With this monogrammed garter giveaway going on this week (ending soon!), we thought it was the perfect time to share the latest Ask Emmaline question with you. Vanessa, asks, “I am ordering a garter online and it asks for my size. Since I can’t see it in person, I want to know where to size properly. I know it (obviously) goes on my thigh area, but do you have any tips on where to measure for a garter? Thanks!” Great question! This is a common one asked by brides, and with online ordering so readily available, it’s no wonder you want the perfect fit when it arrives. Read on to find out where to measure for a garter so you don’t order the wrong one…

where to measure for a garter

Where to Measure for a Garter

A garter is worn approximately three to six inches above the knee. Use a soft tape measure and wrap it around your thigh where you’d like to wear the garter. Make sure you hold tape measure tight to your skin, but with a little give for the elastic. You can use body tape to keep the garter in place if you’re concerned about it slipping on the big day.

Hope it helps!

How to Toss the Garter at a Wedding

Grooms: now this is how to toss the garter at a wedding! Place it over a football and have the gentlemen go long. Now, obviously, you won’t want to toss the garter like this indoors (I can only imagine the accidents that would occur if someone misses), but outdoors? Tent wedding with nearby grassy open field? Game on. This idea is especially perfect if hubby-to-be is a football fan. Or, feels sheepish about flinging lingerie across a formal room to male friends, family, and coworkers.
