Belt buckle bottle opener. Try saying that five times fast! One of the best things that happens when handmade artisans share their talents with the world is you get custom, personalized gifts that keep on giving. That’s what happened when Metalogical designer and owner, Chris, received this glowing feedback from a newlywed couple: “In the rush of wedding-mess, I never got back to you, but I wanted to let you know that the buckles were a huge hit—the guys loved them, and spent the entire week showing them off. I’m not sure that we’ve gone out with the crew even once since then when someone wasn’t wearing them—thank you again for your beautiful work!” How’s that for a glowing recommendation! This unique belt buckle bottle opener features your groom (or groomsman’s) initials personalized right on the front. The buckle can be attached to one of his in-house belts (or your own) so you’ll always have an opener at the ready. This makes an exceptional gift for the groom, groomsmen, and best man, and you can be sure it is a gift they’ll ACTUALLY USE. Read on to find out how you can win one as Giveaway #14 in this month’s AWESOME giveaway series!

Hi, lovelies! We’ve found a collection of lace clutch purses so lovely they deserved their own feature! Allisa Jacobs has been busy rolling out some new clutch purses for the spring and summer months, and my favorite is her collection of lace clutch purses in mint, coral, ivory, or navy. With colors like these — and just a hint of lace covering the exterior — the result is a purse with a delightful pop of color and a more modern feel. Plus, these clutch purses are totally versatile for bridesmaids to carry even after the wedding (and the perfect size, too!) Don’t forget to grab one for yourself, too, and fill it with these sorts of things. Take a closer look…

Hi, loves! How was your Memorial Day weekend? Ours was fantastic — lots of time snuggling with little man, Andrew, who turns 2 months old today. (More details on him to come!) Today we’re bringing you a brand new Ask Emmaline question from Joshua, groom-to-be! Joshua wants to surprise his bride-to-be with a gift. Here’s what he wrote to us: “Emmaline, Help! I want to give my fiance, Jamie, a gift for our wedding. I was thinking of one of those wedding dress hangers she can hang her dress on… I saw it somewhere but can’t remember where to get one. Any tips on where to buy wedding dress hangers?” Great question, Joshua! A wedding dress hanger is an awesome gift for the bride because she can use it to display her dress on the wedding day while those getting ready photos are being taken. It’s also a wonderful keepsake for after the big day, as most wedding hangers can be customized with her name (and her new last name, if she’d like). Read on to get a glimpse of wedding hangers we love and enter for a chance to win one of your very own! Giveaways… that’s how we do it here at EB!
Wedding Dress Hangers
First and foremost, no two wedding dress hangers are the same. We’ve found a few different hanger styles from which to choose, depending on your wedding theme or personal preference. For instance, there’s a wooden hanger with metal personalization underneath which can feature her new name with ‘Mrs’ in front.

Brides: whether you’re reciting traditional vows or personalizing your own, you’ll love this sweet idea: your personalized wedding vows as wall art! B is for Brown can turn your sweetest, most heartfelt (and sometimes hilarious) vows into a personalized wedding vow keepsake, suitable for framing and displaying in your home after the big day. This is a fantastic gift idea even if you’re reciting traditional vows at your wedding; instead, you can have these custom vows printed up and displayed at your reception for guests to read. And, while these vows will encompass your deep, sincere feelings, don’t be afraid to include a few fun and personal details, like “I promise not to hog the remote”, “I’ll try not to steal the covers”, or “I promise to sip your cocoa first to make sure it isn’t too hot for you”. One of my favorites: “Try to remember to turn down the volume on the TV when it gets too loud”. It’s fun to personalize your own! If I had to choose one, mine would say, “I promise to cover you in a blanket when you fall asleep on the couch”. I asked my husband to contribute his and his answer was… “I promise to rub your feet when you’ve had a long day.” (I know. He’s a total charmer.) OK, we’ve shared ours… what would yours say?
