Winter Wedding Wreaths to Decorate Your Space

Posted November 25, 2011 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 6 Comments

If you’re planning a winter wedding, you may be wondering how to decorate the entry doors or add decor to your reception site. To add an elegant touch to your ceremony or reception site, we recommend hanging a few winter wedding wreaths. These winter wedding wreaths by Wild Ridge Design caught our eye for its handcrafted and unique collection of winter wreaths that can be reused even after the wedding day. Hang one or two on your ceremony doors, place one at the entryway to your reception site or even display one above your cake table. Your wedding wreaths can then be reused after the wedding day in your love nest to become a treasured keepsake for years. Oh, and did we add that these are scented wreaths? It’s true! A few of the wreaths below have a custom sugar cookie or peppermint scent added. Yum!

Mistletoe, Sweethearts, and a Christmas Tree!

Posted December 7, 2010 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 2 Comments

Today is beginning to look (and feel) a lot like Christmas!    Although the local radio station has been playing Jingle Bell Rock around the clock (literally since the day after Halloween) without snow on the ground it hardly felt like the holidays.  (Jumping the bandwagon a bit early these days, aren’t they?)  Winter finally arrived this morning with a smattering of snow outside and as a result I’m feeling quite festive!  So… to kick start your holiday spirit (though I’m sure most of you are in full gear!) we wanted to share this oh-so-sweet ‘holiday’ cake topper with you.  It is, of course, handmade, features two very adorable ‘Happy Holiday Sweethearts’ with mistletoe, an adorable bouquet, Christmas tree with snow, and mistletoe!  By Together Forever. Look at the groom’s striped tie – so adorable!  This is one of those cake toppers you will cherish for years, place in your china cabinet, and pass down for generations.  Perfect for December weddings!

How Did Your Love Story Begin?

Posted December 1, 2010 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 21 Comments

{ source }

How did your love story begin? Mine began at a high school basketball game. I noticed him noticing me, and I leaned back to sneak a peek at him. Cute, I thought. I saw him laughing with his friend, and he had a nice smile. Very cute, I thought. And charming. We got to talking …. and the rest is history. :)

My best girlfriend met her now fiancee at a college frat party. Her brother had recently pledge this particular frat, and being a protective big brother he forbade her to date anyone in the fraternity. Of course, that makes it irresistible, right? So, she met a boy there (her brother eventually approved) and they are planning a July 2011 wedding.

Another friend of mine met her boyfriend – now fiancee – via an online dating site, and, no, it wasn’t Craiglist – but isn’t that a cute card? {above} They met and connected instantly, dated for about two years, and got engaged earlier this year.

My grandmother met my grandfather at an ice skating rink, and when they started talking he took a liking to her. He offered to give her a ride home, and they were happily married for more than 50 years!

People meet in all kinds of places, at different moments in life, and at precise moments in time. Your love story is unique – people may know the jest of it, but only the couple knows the true, untold story of how it all began.

When I discovered these posters at Something Blue I had to share it with you. Share your one-liner by displaying in your love nest. And, next time you are chatting over your morning cup of coffee, you will remember how it all began. ♥

I LOVE hearing stories about how people met. It’s sharing time, lovelies: how did you meet your significant other?

love,
-E.
