Keri + Drew’s Shabby Chic Wedding

Posted August 24, 2011 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 11 Comments

Keri + Drew’s shabby chic wedding is absolutely stunning. Their Iowa shabby chic wedding has so many beautiful details including mason jars, weathered furniture, and flowery greenery that pops. Keri and Drew went out incorporating the color green into their wedding details from the brides shoes and table centerpieces to their delicious green candy table. Using more than just the color green, one of the most unique and creative ideas Keri and Drew used in their shabby chic wedding was the use of plants as guest favors. Photographing their Iowa wedding was Emily from Emily Crall Photography. Emily fills us in on some of the couple’s wedding day fun.

Zach and Jenna: Happy Bride, Happy Groom, Sunny Day

Posted October 8, 2010 by EmmalineBride | ♥ Leave a Comment!

Zach and Jenna barely escaped the rain on their June 5th wedding day. Getting married in Lake Storm, Iowa at King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort, would make anyone a little worried about the weather and if their day would end in a splash. But we’re happy to say that this beautiful bride and groom had a fun filled, love filled, warm, wedding day. Their wedding was magnificently captured by Christina Kjar Photography.

Christina tells us,

“I arrived at about 2:00pm that day to photograph Zach & Jenna getting ready and we were to start the photos outdoors around 3:00. Just as I arrived, it started pouring! But as luck would have it, right before we were ready to go outside, it cleared up and it was beautiful for the rest of the day. The ceremony was on the lawn overlooking the lake with a reception that followed in the hotel. We photographed both before and after the ceremony at various areas around the hotel. With the ceremony and reception being in the same spot, all of the photographs had the same general color scheme, which made their album absolutely beautiful when designed.”

Get ready!

Chad and Ashley's High Flying Wedding

Posted August 23, 2010 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 4 Comments

We just love these beautiful images from Chad and Ashley’s Iowa Wedding!  Their love for one another was well captured by Christina from Christina Kjar Photography.  Will the bride catch the plane? ;)

Christina tells us, “Chad & Ashley are high school sweethearts.  She says they met in first grade, but he doesn’t remember meeting her til middle school!  Either way – they are one of the cutest couples that I have ever worked with!  They were married at 2:00pm in the Catholic Church in Algona, and the reception followed in Emmetsburg at the Wild Rose Casino and Resort.  Chad, along with his 2 brothers, is a pilot, so it was only fitting that we stopped to do some photos at the airport. I would have to say that this is one of my favorite wedding shoots that I have ever done!  It was definitely unique and the wedding party was great to work with.”

Small Town Heart, Big City Feel

Posted August 2, 2010 by EmmalineBride | ♥ 3 Comments

Want to see a one-of-a-kind wedding?  This wedding captured by Dan and Alex from McClanahan Studio is unique – and absolutely gorgeous!

Couple: Jill & John

Wedding Date:  May 1st, 2010

Ceremony and Reception: Scottish Rite

Dan tells us,

“Jill and John’s love for one another was infectious, and their photographs describe it better than words. Everything from their wedding attire to their ceremony location accentuated their personalities. Jill and John are both from small town Iowa but have big plans to move to New York City this summer. We photographed them in a “big-city” fashion, utilizing non-traditional locations and creative lighting to capture their story with a cinematic feeling. Their wedding was a true joy to capture.”
