This Milford engagement session is one you’re going to love! Chris and Danielle’s fun engagement session happened on a beautiful winter afternoon in Milford, CT. They ventured out into the cold on what one could only call a perfect day with their photographer Stefanie from Stefanie Kapra Photography. There are some truly amazing elements to their engagement session but nothing eclipses their love for one another so easily captured in their photos. Milford Engagement Session
Stefanie their photographer tells us, “We incorporated some of the nature elements in the shoot as well as a painter who was braving the cold to create a gorgeous winter landscape piece of art. The bride to be – Danielle – has two stunning engagement rings – the clear one was hand designed by her fiance Chris, while the blue one was a gift from Chris’s mom who got the stones from her birth country – Afghanistan.”
This Alba Vineyard wedding was spectacular! Nicole and Andrew’s wedding at the Alba Vineyard, with it’s breathtaking landscape and hillside ceremony site among the vines, made for a beautiful event. Their exclusive wedding was captured in every detail by Hendrick from Hendrick Moy Photography. Interested in finding out more about Nicole and Andrew’s wedding? Alba Vineyard Wedding
Nicole and Andrew tell us, “Being a quirky and off the beaten path kind of couple, we knew our wedding would be just as creative, unique, and fun as we are. We chose Alba Vineyard because they have delicious wine, the grounds are amazing, and Andrew proposed at a vineyard on a trip to CA and we found it fitting. In the 9 months we had to plan the wedding, we changed the entire look and theme of the wedding probably 4 times (even completely changing the entire flower order). We included a ton of personalized details – Nikki painted the cake toppers, found a vintage stand and turned it into a purple cupcake tier, made a huge wine-cork board to pin the seating cards too, and painstakingly painted the word ‘Café’ on each of the coffee bag party favors (which by the way were supposed to say ‘Café Pilon’ but after painting the first word on the 140 bags, Andrew decided Nikki’s sanity was at stake). We also had the groom’s brother personally write and perform the ceremony which made it that much more special. We managed to incorporate Nikki’s love for books by using her favorites as part of the centerpieces and her talent for baking cupcakes by having them in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. Andrew’s tech side also made an appearance through the wedding party photo iPhone app.”
I don’t think the reality of the day really hit us until very early the morning of the wedding, as we quietly sat on the edge of the bed in our hotel drinking our morning coffee, I will never forget that calm before the storm.
After getting her hair done and sneaking back into the hotel, Nikki hit the deck when Andrew looked up to the second floor in the hotel lobby and almost saw her, after which point Andrew was confined to his hotel room.
How surreal the whole day felt, when the limo pulled up and Nikki got out to walk down the aisle, the sheer excitement we felt knowing we were about to be married.
Andrew’s surprise dip kiss at the end of the ceremony. Our first dance as husband and wife. The choreographed salsa dance Andrew and Nikki performed to kick off the party, proceeding to dance until we were kicked off the vineyard property, and of course the after party.
“We had the absolute best time at our wedding, everyone danced the night away and really celebrated two best friends tying the knot. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.”
Vendors: Cliff @ Country Picnic – amazing food & coordinated all the rentals for us. He was the first person I met with upon looking at my first potential wedding venue, needless to say his attention to detail and clear adoration for the location won us over (and the sample of food he brought with him didn’t hurt!) Laura @ Every Last Detail – ensured I had not a single worry all day. Laura ran with my very scatterbrained summation of the wedding day and made sure it ran perfectly according to plan without us worrying at all! Erick and David @ Dynamic Sound Entertainment – We clearly were not prepared for our meeting and they were perfect for guiding us and knowing what we were trying to say. They did a phenomenal job, when asked what music they should play we pretty much said 90s and Salsa and they really got the party started! Hendrick @ Hendrick Moy Photography – He was amazing, plain and simple. Really, the photos speak for themselves, we could not be happier than we are that we chose Hendrick to capture our big day.
