Jesse and Grant’s small Colorado wedding was perfect for them! They took part in a new wedding trend called “elopecation” where a couple elopes and has a vacation immediately following. This beautiful couple was married this summer among Colorado’s breathtaking mountains. Being an adventurous couple and looking to plan a small private wedding, they sought the help of planner Stephanie from TWO Colorado. Stephanie tells us, “Jesse and Grant are an active couple, so road-tripping from St. Louis to Southern Colorado for their elopement was a natural choice for them. They grabbed their four closest friends and headed west for a week of kayaking, hiking in the Great Sand Dunes National Park, eating great local food, and getting married, of course! TWO Colorado was a perfect choice for them with their out of the way locations in the hills of the San Juan Mountains enabling them to have a private ceremony in the beautiful outdoors.”

Wow, prepare to be impressed by this unique woodsy wedding! First meet the wonderful couple, Jen and Chris. Their forest wedding was at the Black Mountain Sanctuary near Asheville, North Carolina. The wedding day was wet with lots of rain, but cleared enough for their outdoor ceremony. That sign of good luck continued throughout the day. Later that evening, wedding guests enjoyed toasting marshmallows around a roaring bonfire and even a desert station with s’mores. Then Jen and Chris rocked the dance floor and ended the night with a sparkler sendoff. Carolyn and Geoff from Carolyn Scott Photography were the creative team that captured these amazing photos…

If you love wine themed weddings or engagement sessions, you’ll love today’s feature! We are sharing David & Kristen’s beautiful winery engagement session in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with photography by Shutterfreek. Their photographer Paul tells us, “David and Kristen were friends first. They were best friends all through high school and college. After college, Kristin moved to DC to become a nurse. David left for pilot training and the start of his Air Force career. After 3 years of just phone calls and emails she insisted he come visit her. It was on that trip that their friendship turned into something more.”
“One year into dating they met in Albuquerque for a long weekend. They visited Casa Rodena Winery where they sat and talked about their future together over a glass of wine. It was on top of Sandia Peak that she was in his arms and never felt safer. It was after a day in Santa Fe at the Eldorado Hotel (where they are getting married in April) that she knew they were meant to be. That weekend was such a milestone in their relationship that we tried our best to incorporate it into our wedding as much as possible.”
If you’re looking for destination Italian weddings, you’ve found it! Janice and Steve’s wedding was a magnificent event that took place in Sorrento, Italy. One of the most breathtaking details from their wedding were the incredible views of the Bay of Naples. Their wedding was planned and coordinated by Jayne from Venice Events. Jayne’s an expert in coordinating weddings in Italy. She tells us all about Janice and Steve’s wedding in the following story…
Janice and Steve’s Destination Italian Wedding
“Janice and Steve enjoyed an amazing week of celebrations, starting with ‘hen’ and ‘stag’ evenings in local restaurants (the ‘hen’s definitely outdid the stags by the ladies dancing until the early hours in a small typical night club), the evening before their wedding was spent with all their family and friends in a lemon-grove restaurant – a relaxed evening enjoying local specialties.”
This beautiful southern plantation wedding is one for the record books! Tanya and Trevor were married this past May at the Litchfield Plantation in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. It was designed by Gigi Noelle Events, who handled an unexpected visitor well: Tropical Storm Ana. Although Tanya and Trevor planned to get married outdoors, they had to tent the wedding at the last minute. Many couples would have been bothered by a last minute change to plans, but Tanya and Trevor just rolled with it! In fact, Tanya was so high-spirited and happy to be marrying the love of her life that the storm did not upset her plans for the best day ever.
The bride and groom worked on wedding details together including making their own invitations, building an awesome beer trestle, and even a huge lawn Jenga game that was painted to match their wedding colors. There were rustic farm tables and a dessert/cake table, which featured “naked” cakes and yummy homemade desserts. They even had a kids table with activities to entertain them. As wedding favors, the couple made their own moonshine to give away to guests. They even had a custom corn hole game made, which was used as a guest book alternative! This is a beautiful handmade wedding at its finest! Read on to see the photos captured beautifully by Feuza Reis Studios.
