This Alba Vineyard wedding was spectacular! Nicole and Andrew’s wedding at the Alba Vineyard, with it’s breathtaking landscape and hillside ceremony site among the vines, made for a beautiful event. One of my favorite themes is a wine themed wedding. Imagine wedding snapshots taken in vineyards, natural accents like aged wine barrels, and a delicious cocktail hour with hand-picked wine flavors and cheeses from around the world. Travel to Napa Valley or Northern Michigan (which features some of the most amazing vineyards I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to Napa Valley!) and hold your wedding in a rustically romantic vineyard setting. And, set the tone with wine themed wedding invitations like these spotted at Ruff House Art. Jill’s take on this wine themed wedding idea is pure perfection and features a wine glass ‘stain’ and reminds me of a vintage wine label.

Happy Weekend! While planning your wedding, keep a keen eye on the details. Sweet little details like these personalized wine charms spotted at Handmade Affair will make your day more memorable (and your photographer will love to capture every last one). Personalized wine charms make a great addition to a wine-themed wedding gift (wine glasses, a favorite bottle, toppers, maybe this instant wine chiller which sounds interesting) and the couple will reuse it long after the wedding day. We love these personalized wine charms which can be customized to read ‘bride’, ‘groom’, ‘wifey’, ‘hubby’ – even specific names! Read on to see more…

Now here’s a first: a wedding cake made completely out of – you guessed it – different flavors of cheese! This cheese wedding cake is perfect for the couple who prefers a delightful pairing of wine + cheese in lieu of the traditional cake + coffee (or tea). Pair with your favorite bottles of wine at reception tables for an impromptu wine tasting in your honor. Spotted via Pinterest via Preston Bailey via Amour Amour. We spotted a new set of bridal party glasses by Fizzy Artist and couldn’t wait to share them with you! My friend got married in July and she purchased similar glasses (hers were the wine glass version) for each of her bridesmaids. Having been given an official wine glass hand-painted by the lovely Bethany of Fizzy Artist, I can tell you first hand that her work is incredible! The photos alone are beautiful, but in person? Even more incredible! Now I have a beautiful glass with my caricature on the front and ‘Emma’ written on the stem of the glass and I’ll always treasure it. Plus, it made for some really fun photos during the wedding day! Take a peek at bride Kristin’s Real Wedding photos by Sara Jayne to see one example of these beautiful bridal party glasses in action:

We found a perfect handmade gift for bridesmaids they’re sure to use again: wine glasses! These painted bridesmaid glasses make a great gift for sipping champagne, wine or her favorite cocktail on the wedding day and beyond. Uncork a bottle of champagne for mimosas while getting ready and present to your girls in these custom painted bridesmaid glasses. Throughout the ceremony, use the glasses for toasting, at the head table and afterward as a special keepsake gift with her name and picture painted onto it.

Toast to your best friends and thank them for being a part of your wedding day with bridal party wine glasses. Perfect for wine-themed weddings, these hand-painted wine glasses will last from the first kiss to anniversary bliss. Mary Elizabeth Arts, the handmade artisan behind these beauties, hand paints each and every glass with a strong artful eye and attention to detail. We love the different seasonal options, like the beautiful gold swirl champagne flutes and red cardinal glasses for the upcoming holiday season, the tree-branch design with pops of color to represent the four seasons, and the spider-web-like design for your upcoming fall or Halloween-themed wedding day. Don’t just take our word for it: check out these bridal party wine glasses below!

DIY bread loaf place cards are a unique, easy-to-do idea. Invite guests to have a seat and enjoy a scrumptious serving of bread before dinner is officially served. Be sure to have plenty of olive oil and butter ready! This beautifully styled wedding via Joy Thigpen (photography: Jose Villa) illustrates the look:
