Wedding Wine Labels: 4 Unique Ways to Use Them

Do you want an easy way to add décor to your reception, or how about a creative way to ask bridesmaids to be a part of your wedding? You’ve come to the right place! Today we’re sharing four unique ways to use wedding wine labels, from asking your wedding party to celebrating long after the wedding is over. We’ve teamed up with our friends over at StickerYou to help us with this post, since they offer quality wine labels and specialize in wedding specific ideas. Here are a few ideas to inspire you!

wedding wine labels can be used to ask bridesmaids to be in your wedding party! cute idea.

Wedding Wine Labels

1. Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

When you’re ready to ask your bridesmaids to be in your wedding party, ask with a ‘Be My Bridesmaid’ label on her favorite bottle of wine. You can even upload a photo of the two of you for an extra special touch.

2. Table Numbers

One of my favorite ways that wine labels are being used in weddings is as custom table numbers: just remove your old wine label and place a custom table number label onto it. Now guests have wine for sipping right at their table—and you have an instant table number (without the need for a holder).

use a bottle of wine and these wedding wine labels as a table number at your reception. guests can find their table and sip on your favorite wine choices all in one! via

3. Table Wine with Fun Facts

If you want to offer multiple bottles of wine at each table, just order labels with fun facts about the newlyweds. You’ll be surprised how many guests will move table to table, just to read the different facts at each one! The facts can include anything from where you’ve traveled together to what movie you watched on your first date.

4. Wedding Gifts

Wine makes an excellent thank you gift for your wedding party members, parents, grandparents, or anyone who helped make your day special. A custom wine label will add a personalized touch whether you add your names, a custom ‘thank you’ message, the wedding date, or embellish the label with your wedding theme.

we love these wedding wine labels, which offer tons of customization options. there are even templates in case you have no design skill. by via

Wine also makes a great wedding gift for a newlywed couple. A guest could buy a case of wine and create a custom label for each bottle to celebrate future milestones, from “First Home” to “Honeymoon” to “First Baby”. There can even be labels for “5 Years” or “10 years” to celebrate on anniversaries.

Napa Private Estate Wedding: Christine + Mitch

Today we’re featuring this Napa private estate wedding photographed by White Ivory Photography. Christine and Mitch’s wedding in Napa Valley, California has plenty of beautiful details!

Their photographer Sandra tells us, “It’s a classic wedding with a slight rustic flair, influenced by the Tuscan style architecture of the winery with hints of Tiffany blue, black and burlap. The couple, Christine and Mitch, traveled from Vancouver, B.C with their closest of friends and family to celebrate their sweet union.”

The wedding reception featured elegant round tables with the wedding party seated at a rectangular head table. To ‘reserve’ the seats, small bouquets of baby’s breath wrapped in burlap ribbon were tied to the chair backs.

The couple had sweet bursts of Tiffany blue everywhere — even in these elegant cupcakes that were designed like miniature Tiffany & Co. boxes.

The bride and groom chose to have a small cake for the cake cutting along with cupcakes for guests. Their cake was square shaped and featured Tiffany blue icing with a white ribbon on top in place of a cake topper.

Other details included custom wedding programs in a basket for guests to pick up, along with handfuls of white and Tiffany-blue M&Ms that featured ‘LOVE’ on the front.

Wine and Cheese Wedding Inspiration

Do you love pairing wine and cheese for cocktail parties and fêtes with guests? Want to tie it in to your wedding reception? You’ve come to the right place! We’re even offering a giveaway from Wooden Hive just in time for the holidays! But first… we’ve talked about wine wedding ideas in the past, but wine and cheese wedding inspiration? Now that’s a new one. I don’t know why we’ve never really talked about it; perhaps it’s because this wine and cheese wedding trend is, well, trending.

I mean, it’s not every day you see a cheese wheel wedding cake, you know? Stinky, yes; but does it make a statement? You bet.

At your wedding (or during cocktail hour), you could offer professional grade pairings of wine, cheese, and olives. Here’s a guide to help.

When guests enter the reception space, help them find their seats with escort cards placed in cork holders.

For centerpieces or cute decor touches throughout, try these cute votives: just place a few corks inside a glass votive holder and add a tea light candle on top.

A wine and cheese wedding would look most lovely in a winery setting. How about this gorgeous inspiration?

Gasp. That’s gorgeous.

And it also would require a sit down family style gathering, with cheese and wine flowing like good conversation.

For cocktail hour instead, you could set up a serve-yourself station with cheeses and appetizer plates so guests can sample what they’d like. I love how this is set up on a pair of wine barrels to tie in the theme effortlessly.

Hi, loves! You know that feeling when you stumble upon something so incredibly cool and you say, wow, why didn’t I think of that? I had one of those a-ha moments today when I spotted wine bottle candles. If you’re planning a wine themed wedding or you just happen to love go gaga over wine, this is the find for you! These wine bottle candles are awesome on three levels: they’re a) easy, b) cheap to make, and c) they look fantastic. Plus, they’re sure to delight your guests and will be an instant conversation piece. Read on to find out more…

Wine Bottle Candles

Wine bottle candles are exactly what they sound like: candles that use wine bottles as a vessel. Since you (or someone you know) probably has wine bottles sitting around, waiting to be recycled, gather them up and the cost will be even more inexpensive. Basically, all you need is a favorite wine bottle, one of these, and a match to light it. You can use these wine bottle candles as chic centerpieces — I especially like the idea of lining them across the center of a long rectangular reception table.

See? They wine cork candles are quite basic really…

… and yet, they’re such an awesome idea.

You can grab a set of these for your next dinner party to try ’em out! I know I’m grabbing a set right after I publish this post to the interwebs…

There’s more coming up next, so you should stay tuned! In the meantime, stalk our Pinterest boards.
