How many weeks do you have left until your baby arrives?
I’ve been counting down the weeks myself as Andrew and I plan for the arrival of our new little one in the late spring. From days to weeks, now to months, we’re excitedly anticipating our baby’s arrival. Some weeks, it flies right on by. Other weeks, it is a snail’s crawl. I’m just about at the half-way mark of 20 weeks and still, I’m excited when it goes from 19 weeks 1 day to 6 days so I can get ready to start another new week. :)
If you’re like me, I rely on a calendar or an app and enjoy seeing the countdown of days can be a really fun reminder of the pending arrival from the stork. ;) That’s what my kids were asking, did I really fly in on a stork? Well, no, not really but… um, okay, where were we?
Counting down to the due date is a great way to get that feeling of hey, we’re making our way, all of these days of feeling fatigued, or having a headache, or getting larger and not-quite-comfortable all add up to that awesome arrival date.
For a baby countdown to the due date, you can do it on an app… or, get a little more excited with something you can actually SEE in person! I like baby countdown blocks or a countdown chalkboard or sign to do it. Each day, you can count down and see your progress.
I know that once winter gets out of here (yes, I am fully aware it just arrived, as I look out the window and see quarter-sized snowflakes falling), I’ll feel like there’s not that much waiting to go. But until then, a countdown it is!
If you want an alternate, these baby countdown blocks are also a cute idea! We spotted them at DivineForeverDesigns.
The baby countdown blocks or sign both make a sweet gift for yourself or a baby shower, too! You can get it the sign here or the blocks here.
Happy Counting! I’m with ya!
