The latest Ask Emmaline question just popped in from soon-to-be mama, Jenny!
She writes,
“Hi Emmaline! I’m loving the baby site! I’m looking for a really cute knotted baby gown for my baby due in January. I prefer any color but prefer something gender neutral because we aren’t sure if it is a boy or a girl yet! Any ideas? Thank you!
Hi Jenny! Congrats on your bundle of joy arriving soon. The knotted style is definitely on my baby finds radar at the moment. They are a genius idea that is so easy, yet they didn’t even have them around a few years back when my babes were tiny babies. When I was expecting my first, I bought a grey sleeper gown and loved that thing so much, although it wasn’t quite a knotted gown. I bought grey because it was the one I saw at the store, it felt so soft, and they only had one other color (ivory) which was cute, but I couldn’t stop imagining how many stains it would get! Ha! So the grey outfit was used all the time for my first, and again with my second. In our list of the best knotted baby gowns — all shown below — we’ve tried to find you the cutest gowns for newborns and beyond, since you’ll probably love them so much you’ll swear by them for sleeping in as long as they’ll fit in ’em!
Maybe you’ll have similar luck with these, although many of the colors we found are so cute it may be hard to pick. Most of these are Etsy knotted baby gown options (yay, handmade!) with a few others from Amazon, where we found a few beautiful options and one brand that I loved myself (so I know how soft it is!) Hope it helps and thanks for writing!
Knotted Baby Gown
Before we show the best knotted baby gowns, here’s a quick question + answer: why choose a knotted gown baby sleeper vs. a regular sleep + play or pajama? That’s easy! Knots are easy to do and super quiet to unwrap or re-tie. This means that diaper changes are a BREEZE in the middle of the night. Instead of undoing what feels like a thousand snaps in the middle of the night, and making a ton of noise, this baby gown is easy to open (it’s a simple knot!) and close back up (just knot the bottom again!) Most of the time, your baby can sleep nice and sound since you’re not trying to remove pants, snaps, a bodysuit, etc. Baby gowns are a dream. Every new mom should have at least one! And knotted baby gowns = brilliant since they are so much easier than snaps!
Plus, wait until you see how cute they are! :) And if you’re wondering about the knotted baby gown review for these, all of them come highly rated by happy customers. Enjoy!
