Let’s face it: planning your wedding or other special event in your life can be stressful. Stress can lead to breakouts, lack of sleep, and nutritional deficiencies that can leave you feeling (and looking) less than your best. Today we’re showing you how to say goodbye to dry and flaky skin and say hello to that ready-for-the-aisle radiance you crave. Read on to find out how to get glowing skin naturally with handmade, natural beauty products + find out how to make a DIY face mask using a few items you already have in your kitchen. Enjoy!
How to Get Glowing Skin Naturally
1. Prep.
Before your wedding, you’ll want to make sure your skin is glowing and in tip-top shape (though we already know you’ll be radiating with happiness already!) If skin products you’re using are working well, keep using them; don’t try any new beauty regimens right before the big day, as you never know how your skin will react. I (Emma here!) have heard great things about ingredients like tea tree oil and activated charcoal for easing acne-prone skin. This facial bar by Pink Parchment Soaps may be just what the beauty fairy ordered. It contains activated charcoal and tea tree oil which is all natural and good for acne. We also love it because it’s vegan friendly with no animal products, by-products, or animal testing. Love that!
This next facial soap contains red clay, which is unscented and all natural. If you have combination, normal, or oily skin, this is the beauty bar for you. Shea butter has been added which is great for washing your face without over-drying (and your fiance will love to borrow it for shaving).
Finally, this facial soap with oatmeal and tea tree oil provides a bit of exfoliation and kaolin clay (which is excellent at drawing out impurities). Kaolin is great for sensitive skin and works well while being gentle on sensitive skin.

2. Exfoliate.
Even though you’re keeping up with regular cleansing, winter skin may get dull around the edges. Slough off those dead skin cells every so often by exfoliating. We spotted this beautiful product by The Bumble Bee Studio that can help cleanse, exfoliate, detoxify, and moisturize in one easy step. Talk about multi-tasking!
Oh, did we mention it was infused with pure essential lavender & eucalyptus oils and ground lavender flowers? Sounds like a lovely combination!
Want the cake without the guilt? Natural Divas have you covered with this sugar scrub bound to slough off those dull layers with this scent called, “Let’s Eat Cake”. Let’s just say this jar comes jam-packed with delicious scents like buttercream frosting, coconut macaroons, vanilla white cake, orchid, musk, and almond. I guess this is one rare time where you can have your cake (but you can’t eat it, too).
3. Moisturize.
After exfoliating, it is crucial to replenish any lost moisture in your skin. Be sure to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize – without a greasy, oily product. This product is extra moisturizing face lotion but has aloe vera as a base to give your skin a beautiful moisturized feel all day long. Non-greasy, absorbs quickly, and it’s vegan! What more could you want from your moisturizer? (P.S. It’s available in a non-scented formula, too!)
This silky soft moisturizer, shown below, is made for face and hands to be extra protective in cold weather. I don’t know about you, but my hands and elbows sure take a toll from this winter weather and this moisturizer by Phoenix Botanicals sounds like a dream! This moisturizer features all organic ingredients and locally hand-picked beach-side wild rose petals.
4. Use mineral makeup.
You’ve learned how to get glowing skin naturally… now, keep the glow going with all natural cosmetic products. We spotted a few pretty shades by the folks at Madison Street Beauty:
5. Plenty of balm.
Don’t neglect your pretty pout! Get your lips ready for that first kiss as husband + wife with an all-natural lip balm to soothe and protect your pout. We found this lip balm by Phoenix Botanicals made with organic and local ingredients.

And, while on the topic, I’m sure your fiancee wouldn’t mind a little pampering before the big day, too. He can learn how to get glowing skin with these more masculine products we found. Take a look at this first gift set by Wild Rose Herbs just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Give him the gift of glowing skin and a smooth shave with this shave kit by the folks at Dirty Deeds Soaps, which also makes a great Valentine’s Day gift:
Additional notes
Don’t forget: products can only help so much. Always get plenty of sleep, fruits, vegetables, and water. Hydration is key!

About the products: always test product before using on face. The Emmaline Bride team has not tested or purchased these products, nor can we give full disclosure on how they will work for you. They are, however, handmade which means love, natural ingredients, and two hands went into the creation of each product, which is more than you can say about factory-processed beauty items. Just sayin’.
