Beautiful Wedding Garters by Knotted & Bent
Interview with Krystal Dixon of Knotted & Bent
When did you launch your business? Where are you based?
“I began in July 2016. I’m based in Arkansas but ship worldwide.”
How did you begin your business?
“On July 01, 2016, I opened an Etsy shop. I provided a variety of handmade accessories and photo props for all ages. My favorite items to make were fluffy satin flower and cake smash tutus. Although I loved being able to provide accessories for all ages, I wasn’t doing what I truly desired to do. But on February 14, 2017, that changed.”
“For long time, I desired to work in the bridal industry. So, why didn’t I open a bridal shop? I did not open a bridal shop because I LOVE COLOR :) I was afraid that I would not fit in. Bold Purples, Vibrant Reds and Royal Blues. You can easily find vibrant colors in floral arrangements, tapestries and invitations but what about the accessories for the bride, groom and bridal party? Typically, everything is white, muted and so very, very beige. Well, it’s time for a pop of color! How about a sassy purple garter hidden beneath your white dress? Your bridesmaid will love their reusable fabric brooches. For the gentlemen, what about a matching bow tie, cuff link and pocket square.”
“Just imagine, it would be so awesome if you could purchase all of your accessories from one place. Are you worried about matching the many shades of pink, purple, orange, blues etc? Purchasing your items from one shop will eliminate that problem! This is the future of Knotted & Bent. It is my goal to release new accessories by collections or theme. Be sure to join the Newsletter Community at https://bridalbyvanessa.com/ to be the first to view our new collections.”
What inspires you most?
“I am actually inspired by wedding cakes!” :)
What is your best-selling garter right now?
“The REESE Wedding Garter.”

What kinds of materials do you use in your beautiful wedding garters?
“I use luxurious double sided satin ribbon, crepeback satin, diamantes, grosgrain ribbon, rhinestones and pearls.”
What do you love most about working with couples?
“I love helping couples to step out of the ordinary and show there true personalities. A simple pop of color can do so much.”
What are some new products launching soon?
“I am currently working on designs for: Bridal Hair Combs, Birdcage Veils, Shoe Clips, Brooches, Flower Girl Headbands, Wristlets and more. ”
What is your best wedding advice in 10 words or less?
“Relax. Communicate and focus on your future spouse.”
