A mason jar favor can be sweet without frosting, chocolate, or an abundance of pastry. We’ve talked about cheesecake in a jar, rainbow cake in a jar, cherry pie in a jar, s’mores in a jar, plus a few others… but chip dip in a jar? That’s a new one! Gift your guests with a homespun treat they’ll love, along with a bag of your favorite local tortilla chips in a sweet burlap bag. Make it even better by whipping up a famous family recipe, like your aunt’s homestyle salsa or your own original blend. Then, add the recipe card wrapped up and tied to the jar so guests can re-create the delicious chip dip at home. Chip dip in a jar is a definite crowd-pleaser to-go… check out the ingredient list below!
To make this fun favor, all you need is layers of yummy sour cream, black beans, avocado, lime, salt, pepper, cheddar cheese, tomato, green onion… and, a few how-to instructions to put it all together. To find out the full scoop (no pun intended), visit EatSavvy.
We’ve received emails from brides asking where to buy mason jars. The best place to buy them, from personal experience and at-your-front-door service is Amazon.com. Of course, you can also find them at grocery stores or your favorite craft store. I’ve even seen them at hardware stores.
Happy Planning!

Great idea :) love it…
I love this kind of dip. I just wonder if it’s super transportable with the ingredients? I guess if your guests aren’t going too far, than it is. And now I totally want some!
