This vintage compact via Meadowbelle Market is a unique find made by Kigu of London. It is likely from the 1950’s, which is when similar floral designs were popular. When I spotted this beauty, I immediately thought about how amazing this piece would be as a bridesmaid gift. It’s re-purposed, whimsical, and each one is unique – just like your bridesmaids! And, every girl loves a pocket mirror.
So.. buy this one for yourself, brides, (it will look incredible in your ‘getting-ready’ photos) and get to thrifting! Grab a coffee, throw on some comfy shoes and check out local thrift stores, garage sales, and estate sales. Keep an eye out for pristine compacts (clean, barely-used, no nicks and little to no imperfections) that have scalloped edges and pretty floral prints. When in doubt, use this sample as a guide. Wrap in pretty paper and gift to your girls for a truly unique keepsake they will actually use.
