You know that feeling when something totally inspires you and you can’t wait to share it with everyone you know? Yeah, that’s pretty much how I feel about this awesome wedding invitation for a multitude of reasons.
Emma here and I love me some paper goods, particularly when it comes to wedding invites with fun, quirky, innovative details. Add pretty colors — like anything pink — and I’m sold! For instance, this awesome wedding invitation (that’s not only what I’m calling it, that’s the actual collection name) features the color pink, but not in an overly-girly, emasculating sort of way. Translation? Your groom may actually be okay with you picking out pink wedding invitations. Second, the pink is paired with the prettiest shades of beige, grey, and also coordinates with ultra-mod patterns, hidden inside the envelope liner and on the reverse side of the map and rsvp cards. Third, it has the coolest hooray / bummer RSVP cards we’ve ever seen, along with the most innovative ‘return this please’ mini-envelope return. Oh, and can we focus on the washi tape? Love. (We have an upcoming DIY featuring the stuff, so I’m pretty much about to explode over here with washi tape. You can never really have enough, no?) I guess all of the above reasons are also why it won this year’s LOUIE award for invitations… and why we’re pretty darn proud of its maker, the awesome duo of Ruff House Art, whom we are happy to have as Featured Artists in The Marketplace. This wedding invitation suite is actually from this husband-and-wife’s own wedding last September and the judges all agreed their invite kicked some serious you-know-what. But, enough talking about it and let’s take a look, shall we?
How It Got Its Name: The invitation reads… “The Most Awesome Wedding Ever”.
If I could have Jill paint something in my house (my kitchen?), I would choose this pink-and-white chevron pattern all over the walls. It’s brilliant!
All together now…
So, what do you think? Awesome wedding invitation design, no? Nicely done, RFA! Visit them at RuffHouseArt.com.
