We tried really hard to plan our wedding so that our personalities came through. We also wanted to do a lot of things ourselves, not only to save money but also to put personal touches on everything. Josh designed and drew the invitations. My grandmother hand made “creams,” as favors which are candies from a cherished family recipe. We also created crossword puzzles on the programs to help keep people entertained. I borrowed glass apothecary jars from a friend who had used them at her wedding. My mother made my veil that morning. Josh and I loaded our ipod with our favorite tunes rather than hire a DJ. The only complaint we got about music was that there weren’t enough slow songs for people to catch their breath! To top it all off, we did it all in just three short months. Call me crazy!

It was the most perfect day :) And now we have Rachael’s amazing photographs to cherish and adore as we look back on our wedding day.
