Toya and Memphitz: Married!

Antonia “Toya” Carter and Mickey “Memphitz” Wright married on June 18, 2011 in Alpharette, Georgia at the Atlanta National Golf Club. Toya and Memphitz had a perfect wedding day with each detail captured beautifully by Matt Phoenix Photography. We are excited to share Toya and Memphitz’s Real Wedding exclusively with our readers! You know Toya (nee Carter – now Wright!) from the hit BET show “Tiny & Toya” and now on her new spinoff show “Toya: A Family Affair“. Before we show you Toya and Memphitz’s wedding photos, take a peek at a few shots of the lovebirds prior to the wedding day and find out how they met.

What a beautiful couple!

How they met: Mickey (Memphitz) and Toya met at an album release party for rap star T-Pain, Mickey’s friend. Candy, Mickey’s sister, told the photographer that when Mickey and Toya first saw each other, “it was really sweet because their eyes ‘met’ for a minute”. Mickey also whispered to a friend that evening, “that’s gonna be my wife one day”. Aww!

Toya + Memphitz’s Wedding: About 45 minutes before the wedding ceremony began, a storm rolled through the site battering the outdoor decorations. Toya thought her day would be ruined by the rain – but, within minutes, the storm stopped. The photographer, Jay, told us it was crazy because the storm looked huge – but it just stopped! Thankfully, the sun began shining and Toya’s dream wedding went on as planned. The ceremony was set on a picturesque golf course with an elegant reception site. We love the beautiful decor and the authentic feel of this Real Wedding. You can tell they were blessed with wonderful friends and family to share the day with them. A few notable guests were R&B singers Nivea and Monica, LA Laker Shannon Brown (Monica’s new husband), actress Lauren London, Tamar Braxton, Kelly Price, and more. The night was filled with good food, friends, family, and plenty of dancing! We are excited to share the day with our readers and we hope you enjoy the photos!
