A kissing ball (also called a “pomander”) is traditionally a round ball of fresh or artificial flowers or materials with a ribbon tied as a handle.
Kissing Balls can be used as a flower girl basket alternative (some churches don’t allow you to throw petals), decoration (we love the idea of hanging them at the sides of the ceremony aisle), and bouquet alternatives. The possibilities are endless!
While searching for our favorite handmade kissing balls, we discovered some unique “green” alternatives, using moss, grapevines, recycled magazines, and more. Check out this variety of our hand-picked favorites and let us know which one YOU love!

The tree bark one is pretty sweet!
There is so many creative people out there – awesome!
My daughter is getting married soon and I always get some new ideas here!
Looking forward to more.
Cheers

What a truly awesome collection of photos! I hadn’t been a fan of kissing balls before, but you can now consider me a convert.
I’m not a huge fan of paper flower decorations, but you’ve converted me! I love the pink and purple ones with a single cyrstal strand to glam it up.
I love how you clearly show the diversity of the pomander. It is amazing what a little creativity will produce.
Ooh, I really like! This is totally refreshing and I love the birch bark one :)
Really fresh ideas for pomanders – awesome finds!
My favorite are the red and pink pomanders. Perfect for my flower girl!
the picture with the poms hanging outside looks very pretty!
I’ve been looking for these! Love the one with initials near the top, and the mossy/green alternative.
