In reply to Amanda Blanton.

Hi Amanda!

Great question -- and that's a good idea to think ahead about the staining. I think in your case, I would just skip any possibly staining toys (crayons and Play Doh included). Instead, opt for soft toys like finger puppets or a small stuffed animal, a glow stick, a small children's book, puzzle -- those sorts of things. They'll be just as entertained and you won't have to worry about any staining. I bet the parents of the 2 and 3 year old nieces (I brought my two year old to a wedding recently, so I know!) will bring plenty of toys for them to play with anyway, so your gift should just be a little something for them to enjoy. One thing my two year old really likes (and it won't stain anything) is a Color Wonder coloring book (maybe something like this would be enjoyed by your nieces?). They come with a few markers that work on its own special paper, but won't make a mark anywhere else. They're awesome and really work.

Hope it helps! Thanks for stopping by. Anytime you have a question, just ask!

I love the idea of gifts for little ones. We are inviting little ones who are related to us - particularly my fiancé's nieces who will be 2 and 3 at the time of the wedding. My concern is that the white table covers are included in the space rental (what a blessing!) and I'm concerned some little gifts might potentially stain the table cloth (i.e. crayons, playdoh, etc). If the table cloths get stained we have to pay a fee for each damaged one.
I don't have little ones of my own so I'm unsure if these are even reasonable things to be concerned about. Can someone offer insight into if these items would be a thing to be concerned about or if it's something to not really worry over? Thanks <3
