But first, a little chit-chat! So…. I (Emma here!) am writing you today from the lovely west coast, where we are completely covered in snow! We are packed to the brim in my brother’s house with 11 of us, including
two adorable kids, my almost-6 niece and almost-4 nephew. I was greeted by my nephew post-nap with the biggest smile, a run over and a hug around the neck, and a great big, ‘AUNT EMMA!!’ Ah, the simplest things in life are the best, aren’t they? So, yesterday was spent traveling, traveling, and traveling some more, tons of pizza, cappuccinos (my brother makes the best), laughs, stories, and Christmas presents. Since we all live in separate parts of the country (quite literally) we decided to meet in one central place for a post-Christmas/New Years Party extravaganza. So far, I spent a majority of my time talking about the “Ramona” book series by Beverly Cleary; playing ‘Catch-Me-If-You-Can’ with my nephew, chatting it up with brothers, sisters, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, parents, hanging with my hubby, drinking plenty of cappuccinos and eating the best pizza I’ve ever had. More of my time, though, has been spent playing endless games of hide-and-go-seek. Here’s how a conversation went with my niece and nephew when they could not find me:
Niece: You aren’t looking hard enough.
Nephew: Yes I am, I looked in the bedroom, she is not there. UNCLE DOUG! Help us find Aunt Emma.
Uncle Doug: Well, Aunt Emma is a super-good hider. I don’t know if you’ll be able to find her, she’s really good at this game.
Niece: I guess we just need to look harder then. ‘AUNT EMMA! Come out come out wherever you are!”
Nephew: I don’t know, maybe Uncle Doug is right. Aunt Emma is a super-good hider. Oh, we’ll never find Aunt Emma again!
I couldn’t stand the adorableness anymore, shouted “SURPRISE!” And they jumped. And giggled. And we all laughed some more. Then we ate cupcakes. (See? Best vacay ever.) I can’t wait to spend more time with the fam and share with you more hilarity.

The rest of the EB TEAM (love you all!) is continuing to hold down the fort while I’m away, so please be extra sweet to them. :) Don’t worry, we have tons more exciting wedding finds planned for the rest of this week (and next week goes completely back to normal).
