My name is Amy and the name of my shop, Helen Ethel Studio, is an homage to my grandmother, Helen, who continues to serve as a constant inspiration to me both in my work and in the way I live my life. She, along with an incredibly supportive family, never stopped nurturing my creativity ever since I could pick up a crayon. My formal background in Art History also serves as inspiration in my jewelry designs. A self taught jewelry artisan, I work primarily in polymer clay along with various other media, including metals, resin, and precious stones. Armed with a meticulous attention to detail, I am constantly educating myself and experimenting with the craft. Though raised in the fresh country air and woodlands of central Pennsylvania, I've called Philadelphia my home for nearly ten years. Here I spend my days crafting alongside a very patient fiancé and our little beagle, Heidi.
