How do I make a QR code is probably one of the most-asked questions right now because the technology is everywhere you look. First things first, you may be wondering how to make a QR code for a link (or other type of file. We did all the digging on where to get QR code generator and found it here.
Their unique QR code generator is FREE (yay!) at time of publication but you may want to upgrade if you need to edit it later on. I highly recommend it simply because things change and you’d hate to have printed it on wedding materials only to have the code go to nowhere. Yikes!
Here’s how to make a QR code for a link in 1, 2, 3.
Generate Your QR Code.
That’s right: just go to QR Code Generator and here’s what you’ll find:
1. Select your type of code.
The first step is to simply select the type of code.
What kind of item are you linking your code to? Most likely, you’ll be using URL. This can redirect guests to your wedding website, where you can share invitation details, RSVP online, wedding menus, and more. However, you can also choose vCard, Plain Text, Email, SMS, and more.
Select your type from their available options:
2. Enter it in!
Select the type (probably URL) and enter it in. You can also drop a file in, if you need to.
Be sure to double-check this URL for accuracy because you can’t change it later unless you upgrade!
3. Download Your QR Code.
Download it! Now you have your code to use on wedding invitations, response cards, and so much more.
