A few months ago, I set-up an amazon registry for our wedding based on the universal registry feature. We had a few items from various websites that we wanted to add but could not find on amazon. My understanding was that the amazon assistant was the way to add items from other websites so I downloaded the extension for my browser and tried adding items. However, I was unable to add these items because the wedding registry was not listed as an option. The only option I was given for adding items from other websites was my personal wish list. I contacted amazon to try to figure out why this feature was not working. After two to three months of conversations with various amazon representatives, I was told that this was not a feature that they offered even though their website clearly states that it is. Has anyone gotten this feature to work? Am I missing something?
Hi Lisa! Thanks for your email! I recall a while back when it first began, you could easily add items just by installing the browser extension. Do they still have a browser extension? I’m disappointed to hear if they no longer support the universal registry, as I always thought that was such an impressive part of their registry program! I’ll speak with someone at Amazon and see if they have any other info, but if not, I suppose they no longer support the universal list. Thanks for letting us know.
