Stitch Fix Review
Stitch Fix is an online style service that picks out what would look great on you based on a unique style profile.
Your style profile provides everything the professional stylists need to know including your age, weight, height, style preferences, and more. You can even input your Pinterest link so they can see your pins and gain insight into your individual style. Stitch Fix is like having your own personal shopper who is also a pro style and fashion expert. Instead of running from store to store and trying on things that never seem to fit, you receive five unique pieces sent to your front door. Just try them on in the comfort of your own home. Each piece is tailored to your unique style, shape, and size. Plus, it’s so easy to get started! Here are a few benefits:
Let me show you how it works.
How It Works
1. Make a style profile.
This step is essential because it will give the stylist information about you including weight, height, style preferences, and more. When you first sign up, you fill out a style profile right away. It only takes a minute and you can make changes to it at anytime. In fact, they recommend updating it regularly so you can provide ideas on what you need / want in your upcoming delivery.
Then, just schedule your first “Fix” and you will receive an email and notification when it ships.
Your notification will look something like this:
You will be charged $20 for the shipment (no shipping and free returns!) but it goes towards the price of any pieces you keep.
2. Receive five personalized pieces sent to your door.
In your shipment, you’ll receive a personalized note written by your stylist, an order form showing the pieces delivered and pricing of each, and a style card that shows your individual pieces and helpful hints on how to style everything. (This is *so* helpful because sometimes you have a piece and you wonder, what kind of jeans do I wear with this? Can I dress it up with a skirt? Heels or flats? This style card reveals everything.)
3. Keep what you love, send back the rest.
Here’s the best part: you only pay for what you love and want to keep. Just send back the rest within approx. two days and you won’t be charged for the pieces. (Note: Since you already paid $20 for the shipment, it is in your best interest to keep at least one piece. I say this because if not, you’re really just sending it all back and you’re out twenty bucks. Most pieces range from about $30 up, so you’re bound to find something you love enough to keep. You might even want to keep all five — in which case they also offer you a discount for keeping them all so you save even more.)
Checkout is really easy at Stitch Fix: just log in, fill out the questionnaire (it shows an itemized list and buttons to say ‘Keep It’ or ‘Return It’) along with a space to input any comments you have. This is valuable for feedback — you can write things like, “Not my style” or “Too big”. These notes help the Stitch Fix stylists tremendously for your future orders and other users’, as well.

So, Is It Worth It?
I’ve tried Stitch Fix a few times now and here’s my personal opinion: it is awesome. I really love the service because I always receive a unique piece that I wouldn’t normally have found on my own. I’m also surprised by how many pieces I try on from my Stitch Fix that I normally wouldn’t have ever tried on in store — and surprisingly, it usually works out and looks awesome! I don’t always keep many pieces because it can really add up, but I do have a few pieces that I regularly love and wear all the time. You can even request jewelry or accessories, like outerwear, sweaters, scarves, hats, or bags. I hear they now offer shoes, too (!!!!) but I haven’t given that a try yet.
Stitch Fix is also really great to try for upcoming events. For instance, a New Year’s Eve party, office party, new job, hot date, engagement photos, wedding events (like your bridal shower or bachelorette party), etc. Just add a note on your profile and your stylist will work on creating the perfect look styled just for you! I’ve even requested flowy tops for maternity or post-natal styles I can pair with leggings and cute flats. They always come through with fantastic ideas I wouldn’t have thought of myself!
To me, Stitch Fix is a fun subscription service to try once in awhile or on a regular basis (if you love clothes). I usually order a shipment for a special occasion, but you should do what works best for you. You can even give a gift of a Stitch Fix gift card for the holidays (and they’ll still get it in time via email!) or give yourself a special treat of style and fashion and buy yourself a gift card. You can get started right now and fill out your style profile. It’s so quick and you’ll be on your way to beautiful clothing and accessories custom suited to your taste. Give it a try!
So, What Happened When I Tried Stitch Fix?
I gained a new appreciation for style and a confidence for mixing and matching pieces that look best on me. I’ve also learned to look at unique pieces for my wardrobe. I’m used to picking classic styles, but Stitch Fix has given me the courage to try new and unique pieces. I have a few clothing pieces and accessories in my wardrobe I can now use to create versatile looks. I’m happy with this service and I know you will love it, too!

I often feel too busy to go shopping myself so this service would actually be really helpful! I also like trying new things I wouldn’t normally pick out on my own.
I love accessories and clothes, but lately with wedding planning, school, and work, I’ve been too busy to look for things I like. I’m always looking for someone else, so it would be awesome to have someone else pick out something for me! :)
