When Angee designed and handcrafted a clutch purse for her daughter Vincci, she had no idea it would launch their incredibly successful business. After Vincci carried the purse at her best friend’s wedding, it was met with rave reviews. The purse sold quickly on Etsy and, soon later, this mother-daughter duo began handcrafting their way to the top as one of the leading clutch purse designers on the web known as ANGEE W. ANGEE W clutch purses have been featured in publications such as ELLE magazine and Etsy wedding and are famous for their personalized wedding clutch with a photo inside, an original design. Today we’re sharing more about the team at ANGEE W: how they began, what they love most about working with couples, and advice they have for brides-to-be. Meet Vincci and Angee, mother-daughter team known as ANGEE W!
When did your shop open?
“January 9, 2009.”
Where are you located?
“Hong Kong.”
How did your business begin?
“The shop is named for Angee, the mother in this mother-daughter team, as it was her original creation that inspired the entire enterprise. In 2008 Angee made a beautiful feather clutch bag for her daughter Vincci to wear to her best friend’s wedding. The bag was later sold on Etsy and since then, the mother-daughter team has made thousands of customized and personalized photo clutch purses for brides, bridesmaids and their mothers to wear on their big day.”
Tell us more about your products.
“We are original makers of photo lined clutch purses, ANGEE W. is famous for personalized clutches made with delicate laces, satins and silks. Our bags are popular wedding and bridal shower presents. Brides, bridesmaids, mothers and mothers-in-law all appreciate receiving such a beautiful gift. A clutch with a personal story in the palm of their hands.”

What inspires you most in your designs?
“Emotions and stories behind each material.”

“[We use] silk, satin, alencon laces, gold thread embroidery fabrics, and kiss lock clutches.”
“Being able to help them tell a story through personalized accessories their wedding day and after. These accessories are perfect gifts for the bride, mother of the bride and groom and as well as friend and family members.”

What can we expect to see next in your product line?
“We’ve been working with vintage Japanese kimono textiles from the 1950s to 1980s. These vintage textiles are discovered from antique markets in Japan and are then tuned into sustainable fashion clutches through upcycling.”
