Victorian Engagement Rings Under $2000
First things first: what exactly is the Victorian era? The Victorian era was the period of Queen Victoria’s reign, which lasted from June 20, 1837, until January 22, 1901. It was a period known as “refined sensibilities” and a stretch of time with peace, prosperity, and national self-confidence for the United Kingdom. According to Collectors Weekly, “this era is usually divided into several subsections: the Romantic Period from 1837 to 1861, the Grand Period from 1861 to 1880, and the Aesthetic Period from 1880 to 1901”. For more on this period, particularly pertaining to jewelry from the Victorian era, read: Victorian era jewelry characteristics.
Lindy of Penelli Belle has beautiful antique Victorian engagement rings (as well as Victorian-inspired new designs) in her shop, and we’re sharing our favorites with you today! Here are seven that really caught our eye — although, of course, there are plenty more here.
Which ring is your favorite? I really love the one with the 3rd one! It is a brand new ring, so it is not an antique, but it has such a stunning Victorian-era look to it. It’s one of my favorite engagement rings ever.
