What should you give guests as wedding favors? There are dozens of favors out there, but if it’s hard to pin down the perfect one for your wedding, you’re not alone. Nikki writes us with our latest Ask Emmaline question: should she use honey jars as wedding favors? She writes,
“Hi Emmaline! I was wondering what you thought about honey jars as wedding favors. I’ve seen them (and other jar favors) in many rustic weddings and I’m planning one of my own. I like jelly favors but I am thinking of doing a “meant to bee” theme and wondered what you thought. Are honey jars still popular as wedding favors? Where do I find them? Thanks!”
Hi Nikki! Great question — and the answer is a resounding yes! Honey jars as wedding favors is a great idea, especially, as you mentioned, when you’re tying it into a “love is sweet” or “meant to bee” or “sweet as honey” theme. When mason jars exploded in popularity into the wedding market, mini jar favors came with it. And while mason jars aren’t in the spotlight right now as much as they were before (though don’t worry — they’re not gone completely by any means!), mini jar favors (like jams and honey jars) continue to be a trending favor option. As a matter of fact, edible wedding favors of all kinds continue to be crowd-pleasers and for good reason: people actually enjoy them! Edible favors are rarely left behind — in fact, some people snag two because they are so delicious. ;) Plus they look so cute stacked up on your dessert bar or favors table for guests to take as they head home.
