Did you know that you are supposed to set aside a few extra seats at your wedding reception for vendors? It’s true! Many couples don’t think about it ahead of time, but offering a meal to your vendors while they’re working at your wedding is a nice gesture to do.
But does every wedding vendor get a place at the table? Not necessarily. Here is the list of wedding vendors who get a meal at your wedding so you don’t miss anyone by accident.
Wedding Vendor Meals
As a rule of thumb, any wedding vendor who is working approximately 6 to 8 or more hours at your wedding should be given a meal. These vendors include:
1. Wedding Planner
Your wedding coordinator works tirelessly to ensure your day goes smoothly. Make sure you invite them to enjoy a meal at the wedding.
2. Photographer(s)
The photographer or photographers at your wedding are on their feet all day long, typically from sun up to the last dance. Give them a nice meal at your wedding as a way to show your gratitude.
3. Wedding Videographer(s)
Videographers are busy capturing the most important film clips of your wedding day. Keep them recharged and fueled up to keep going with a meal.
4. Officiant
Although it’s not required, it is a nice gesture to invite your officiant to join you for dinner at your reception. Although they may decline, it is a nice gesture to extend the invitation.
5. DJ or Band Members
And you want to keep those tunes playing all night, so make sure your DJ or members of a live band get the energy they need to keep your music going all evening.
That just about does it! Typically, you’ll set up a table set aside for vendors at the wedding and they all sit together.
I hope it helps. :)
