Bald Head Island Wedding: Abbie + Josh
The Marina Lawn served as a stunning setting for both the ceremony and reception, taking place in the open air with breathtaking views of the marina. Every aspect exuded romance, from the bride’s meticulously hand-stitched table numbers to the personalized thank you letters presented to each guest as wedding favors. With a backdrop of shimmering string lights, a menu showcasing signature cocktails inspired by their favorite beach getaways, carefully selected playlists, and lively dancing, it was truly a dream come true.

Special Memories from the Bride
Abbie tells us one of her favorite memories were the “hand stitched embroidery“, which was on the inside suit pocket of the groom and the table numbers throughout the reception. The location of Bald Head Island is also an interesting one, and she tells us, “Bald head has been a bit of an evolution! My parents took me where there when I was really young and then Josh’s parents started going after his sister worked a summer at the conservancy. He was early high school and I joined a few years later when we started dating! Now we go every year and it’s become a really special place for the family.”
One of our favorite parts of her wedding? The dance with her dad. She tells us, “My dad had never taken a dance lesson or ANYTHING before that night. I choreographed the dance, Josh stitched together the music and we got it all together in the last month before the wedding. I went to practice in my parents garage and we kept it a secret from my mom and sisters and aunt (his sister)… they had no idea so was a total surprise!”
And guests were floored by the amazing letters placed at each setting for dinner. “The dinner letters were a total surprise for our families!” Talk about a wedding favor that will be forever cherished!
