Hi, loves! Emma here. I love to peruse Real Weddings like the next girl, but one of my favorite things to do is identify real (aka practical) diy wedding ideas to try. A recent favorite do-it-yourself idea comes from a Camarillo wedding that exudes vintage flair. My favorite detail? The nail and string table numbers. This is such an easy idea to tackle yourself…
Here’s an up close image:
DIY Nail and String Table Numbers
To make this, you would need a piece of wood (painted, preferable) that is wide enough to stand on its own. Alternatively, you can add a smaller piece of wood to the back to prop it up (or set it on a tabletop easel). Using a number stencil, trace the number on the wood; hammer nails around the shape of the numeral. Then, take string or yarn and tie one end onto a nail and knot; pull the string and cross over the nails making zig-zags until the number is visible. Knot the end. Ta-da!
See? So easy. Use different colors of string for each table to really tie in your color palette and create a dynamic look.
