TIP: If you’re planning your wedding, be sure to stock up on postage stamps now. The United States Post Office is changing their prices (again… 😬) and this time it’s increasing 5 cents. Per the USPS, “[There will be a] 5-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 68 cents to 73 cents.” The new pricing goes into effect July 14, 2024.
Currently, a 1 ounce book of 20 stamps costs $13.60, but the same book of 20 stamps will cost $14.60 in just a short month’s time.
While 5 cents per stamp may not sound like a lot, it really adds up when you factor in save the dates, wedding invitations, and thank you cards being sent in the mail. That’s a chunk of change you’d probably rather have in your pocket. I would!
You can buy Forever stamps now, which lock in their current low rate, and you can use the stamps anytime in the future (hence their name, Forever). Head to your local post office or use their website online. Note: I wouldn’t purchase from anywhere other than directly from the USPS. There are a lot of scammers out there.
Hope it helps!
