It’s not everyday I spot a pair of earrings so incredible they are deserving of their very own feature. But alas, here we are! While browsing the artisan jewelry at Mia Gemma, I spotted these drop earrings with a unique elongated hoop opening, a wavy texture, and sparkly diamonds. I have never seen an earring quite like this, and I learned they’re known as pebble drop earrings.
What are pebble drop earrings?
This is an interesting style! I learned that pebble drop earrings are named first for the pebble portion. This particular earring is reminiscent of pebbles found in nature, almost like a sliver of gold rock was plucked from a sandy shoreline and molded into these incredible wave-like earrings. The drop earring part is simply the style of earring, known for the way it effortlessly “drops” just below the earlobe. The earring is securely positioned to the stud so it is stationary and drapes nicely in place.
Are drop earrings suitable for weddings?
Drop earrings are a dramatic and statement-making piece making them a suitable choice for events of all kinds – weddings included. I think a drop style stands out more than a stud, so if you want something that accentuates your face then this is the style for you. Plus, pebble drop earrings with gold and diamond will add wedding day glam to your overall look.
This is the pair that caught my eye! It is handcrafted by K.Mita Design from the gallery. Note: these can be made in yellow, white, or rose gold, too.
I explored this artist’s page a bit more and discovered these other earrings. This next pair is also a pebble earring, but without the drop style. If you prefer more of a stud, this is a great option for you.

Small Round Studs
These small round studs have a perfectly-placed diamond for a little sparkle. These are a unique find because they align with the mixed metals jewelry trend we’re seeing everywhere. One side is white gold while the other is yellow gold, yet they pair beautifully together. By K.Mita Design.
